The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to advance the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid treatment facilities, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction.
