Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for health care for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For individuals that do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol recovery services in Hesperia, Medicare will cover various rehabilitation programs and recovery services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain forms of treatment.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient addiction treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the individual's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the expenses for outpatient substance abuse rehab. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications dispensed by clinics. It also pays for professional interventions.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for individuals who want supplemental coverage apart from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and those required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
