Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health care for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
