The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to promote the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid treatment facilities, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
