Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health care for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal and those used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
