The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
