The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the oversight of opioid treatment programs, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
