Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health benefits for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people that do have Medicare and need drug or alcohol treatment in Beacon, this program can cover certain rehabilitation programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different forms of medical care.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient addiction treatment, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but individuals will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for individuals who want additional coverage in addition to Medicare Parts A, B, and D. Individuals who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
