The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to advance the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the administering of opioid treatment programs, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
