The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs which provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Medicine administered are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted clients.
