The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to advance the mental health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid rehab programs, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Medicine prescribed are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted people.
