The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for efforts to advance the mental health of the U.S.. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Drug given are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs which help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent people.
