Drug and alcohol treatment services are available in a vast range of formats, so there is definitely something for everyone in Rudd. Treatment services may be offered in both an outpatient and inpatient basis, where outpatient services range from 1 or 2 days of treatment per week to intensive outpatient treatment which is available daily. Outpatient treatment services range from individual counseling and group counseling, to more advanced psychotherapies to modify behavior and motivate clients to stay sober.
Inpatient and residential treatment is there for individuals who suffer with more extensive histories of substance abuse, ranging from 30 day programs to 90 day programs. Some treatment programs offer what is called a Therapeutic Community model, where participants may stay up to a year in some cases. The longer someone stays in in the recovery program and takes advantage of services and a distraction-free atmosphere, the higher their chances of staying sober and being able to do so without requiring that robust system of recovery and support. Services within a residential or inpatient drug and alcohol rehab facility are usually more diverse and will incorporate treatment for addiction but also other co-occurring mental health disorders. Aftercare and relapse prevention services are essential even after long-term treatment, and many centers recommend continued involvement in the program for a few months until the person has progressed into a drug free lifestyle.
