Inpatient drug rehab, also sometimes called residential drug rehab, is a treatment method for people that require a change of environment and receive very comprehensive treatment. Inpatient rehabilitation in Galt typically lasts anywhere from 30 days to several months, and many facilities offer both short and long term treatment options. Some inpatient programs provide both drug free and medically assisted detox services, but some only treat individuals who have already been detoxed at a detox facility prior to arrival.
In inpatient drug rehab, it is similar to a small community of clients and staff all working together through the course of recovery. Rehab staff will do a complete assessment of the client's needs, and a recovery plan is put in place that will include counseling, therapy, holistic treatment, psychotherapy, etc. based on what treatment approach the rehab center is utilizing. Some inpatient facilities implement the 12 steps, while others apply a therapeutic behavioral method, which would include more advanced therapies and psychotherapies.
Inpatient drug rehab also minimizes many of the risks associated with relapse, being that the person is being supervised 24/7 in a clean and sober atmosphere, and won't have access to any of the drug using friends who influenced, supported or empowered their substance abuse.
