Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for people who want supplemental health insurance apart from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. Individuals who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and those required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
