DWI Clients - Alcohol and Drug Rehab Programs - Panama, IL.

DWI clients in rehab need specific requirements met to satisfy the conditions of their court sentencing. Treatment programs that help fulfill these demands and terms, which are usually more lenient than normal sentencing such as large fines and incarceration, are offered in Panama to provide alcohol education, counseling, and additional assessment for individuals with heavy substance abuse problems.

Drug and Alcohol Education is a fundamental treatment tool used at rehab programs treating DWI offenders. There are various levels of alcohol education classes which can vary by state. Level I education normally consist of 12 hours of education about the effects of drugs and/or alcohol. This is the what someone with a first offense or someone under 21 will ordinarily be required to complete. Level II classes would consist of both substance abuse education and group therapy in a program which is approved by the courts. How long a client will be required to be in therapy depends on various considerations, which can be, for example, how many DWI's the person has had, and the seriousness of the violation. In most cases, clients will be sentenced to the Level II DWI classes and therapy except for when their blood-alcohol content level was extremely low when they were stopped and there weren't any other serious charges when the offender was arrested.
