The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its duties is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are centers that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency. Drug prescribed are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs which help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent individuals.
