The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the administering of opioid rehab programs, which are centers that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Medications prescribed are drugs such as methadone, buprenorphine and other drugs that help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted people.
