The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the nation. One of its obligations is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are centers that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Drug given are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent clients.
