The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the nation. One of its duties is the supervision of opioid rehab programs, which are programs that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency. Drug administered are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid dependent people.
