Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health care for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as medications used for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
