The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to advance the mental health of the nation. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
