The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for efforts to promote the mental health of the U.S.. One of its obligations is the supervision of opioid treatment programs, which are centers who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
