Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for clients who want additional health insurance aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. Individuals who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications needed for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
