The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of health efforts to advance the mental health of the United States. One of its obligations is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are centers that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
