The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid rehab programs, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Drug given are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted clients.
