The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to promote the mental health of the nation. One of its obligations is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are centers that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid addiction and dependency.
