The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its duties is the oversight of opioid treatment programs, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
