The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. One of its duties is the oversight of opioid treatment facilities, which are centers that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
