Opioid rehab facilities authorized by SAMSHA need to get licensed also by their own state. Likewise, they need to list themselves with the Drug Enforcement Administration via a local DEA office. Once an opioid rehab center is approved to operate, it must be re-certified every year or every three years depending on the type of certification it has been given.
