The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the supervision of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Medications prescribed are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted people.
