The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to advance the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the supervision of opioid treatment programs, which are programs who offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency.
