Drug and alcohol abuse facilities for Veterans are central for the mental health and overall stability of Vets of all branches of the armed forces. Because alcohol and drug abuse and other mental health problems are experienced at above average rates among Vets, it is important that Veterans get the assistance they need due to such high suicide rates also associated with these disorders among our Vets.

Involvement in other support such as AA and other support groups is encouraged. Medications are also used in some instances to help Vets lessen their tobacco, alcohol, and drug use.
