The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to advance the mental health of the United States. One of its duties is the supervision of opioid rehab facilities, which are programs that offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency. Drug administered are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which stop withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted clients.
