Because alcohol and drug abuse and other mental health disorders are found at higher than average rates among Vets, it is important that they get the essential assistance they need because of such high rates of suicide also associated with these disorders among Veterans.
Alcohol and drug abuse programs for Vets in West Bloomfield are available through the VA, with included services such as efforts to handle associated problems such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, pain, disturbed sleep, irritability, and/or relationship problems which most commonly trigger addiction disorders among Vets. Treatment for addiction and related disorders among Vets includes psychotherapies and group and individual therapy which can increase an individual's motivation to change.
