The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department responsible for health efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its obligations is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are programs who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
