The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency in charge of efforts to promote the behavioral health of the United States. One of its duties is the administering of opioid rehab facilities, which are centers who provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction. Medications prescribed are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which stop curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted clients.
