Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the fees for outpatient substance abuse treatment. This includes outpatient services, therapy, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional interventions.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for clients who want supplemental health insurance aside from what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications needed for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as those used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
