Medicare is a federal health insurance program which helps pay for health care for people living in the Unites States who are either disabled or 65 and older. For individuals who do have Medicare and need substance abuse rehabilitation in New Madrid, this program will pay for various rehabilitation programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different types of medical care.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient addiction rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in treatment without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. People who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications needed for withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
