Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health benefits for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people who do have Medicare and require substance abuse rehab in Rocky Comfort, this program can cover certain rehabilitation programs and recovery services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain forms of care.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A covers inpatient addiction treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will have to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the fees for outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications administered by clinics. It also covers professional intervention services.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for clients who want additional health insurance aside from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C can have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for drug and alcohol addiction medications. Including medications associated with treating drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as those required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
