Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different types of medical care.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the expenses for outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation. This includes outpatient care, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and drugs dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional intervention services.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for clients who want supplemental coverage in addition to what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. People who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal as well as those required for maintenance therapy such as buprenorphine or methadone.
