Military Insurance - Alcohol and Drug Treatment Programs - West Plains, MO.
The military currently uses a military insurance called Tricare to help veterans, active military members and their families obtain health benefits. There is Tricare Prime, Tricare Standard, and Tricare Extra. Tricare Standard offers benefits for retirees of the military who are 60 or older and their qualified family members. With Tricare Standard they have access to any civilian health care provider that is payable under Tricare, but also pay an annual deductible and coinsurance, along with any out-of-pocket expenses. Tricare Extra is an option available to Tricare Standard beneficiaries which provides access to non-military health care professionals within their provider network, with a discounted coinsurance amount. Tricare Prime is offered to all active-duty members, retirees, and all eligible family members, and with this they can pick a primary doctor and get referrals to organizations that offer specialty care.
Through TRICARE, military members can obtain substance abuse rehabilitation services in West Plains. This encompasses individual and group therapy including family therapy, detoxification, and other various substance abuse recovery services. They will require pre-authorization for treatment and there are likely to be some restrictions. Military insurance pays for both inpatient and outpatient, but inpatient services for detox are limited to no more than 7 days. An inpatient or partial hospitalization following detoxification will only be authorized if it is a Tricare approved facility, and there are time limits as to how long military members are permitted to remain in treatment. A 3-week inpatient stay per benefit period is commonly allowed. Additionally, there are 15 family therapy sessions and 60 group therapy sessions covered per benefit period, which occur on an outpatient basis. Family therapy is covered one after the active military member has completed prior rehabilitation services such as outpatient or inpatient treatment.
