Medicare - Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Facilities - Columbus, MS.

Medicare is a federal program that helps pay for health benefits for people living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people who do have Medicare and need addiction recovery services in Columbus, Medicare can cover various rehabilitation programs and treatment services. Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of treatment.

Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient substance treatment, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only covers 190 days of inpatient care total, as in during the person's lifetime.

Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B pays up to 80% of the costs for outpatient substance abuse rehabilitation. This includes outpatient services, therapy, treatment for co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression or anxiety and medications administered by clinics. It also covers professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an alternative for people who want additional coverage in addition to what the other parts of Medicare have to offer. People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification as well as medications required for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
