The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to advance the mental health of the nation. One of its obligations is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs that provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
