Naltrexone is an additional drug used in opioid maintenance therapy, but unlike the other medications aforementioned it is an opioid blocker and is not an opiate. As an opioid blocker, it prevents a person from feeling high from opioids, and therefore lowers the risk associated with relapse. This daily injection costs in the range of $1000 to $1200 a month.
