The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its obligations is the supervision of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are in the midst of opioid addiction and dependency. Medicine prescribed are drugs like buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs that help curb cravings and withdrawal for opioid addicted clients.
