The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government department in charge of efforts to advance the behavioral health of the United States. One of its responsibilities is the administering of opioid rehabilitation facilities, which are centers which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to people who are in the midst of opioid dependency and addiction. Drug given are drugs such as buprenorphine, methadone, and other drugs which help withdrawal and curb cravings for opioid addicted clients.
