Medicare comes in different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering different types of treatment.

It also pays for professional interventions.

Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for individuals who want additional coverage aside from Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C may have more options available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.

Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D pays for substance abuse related medications. Including medications used for drug and alcohol withdrawal and those used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
