Medicare is a federal program which helps pay for health benefits for individuals living in the U.S. who are either disabled or 65 years of age or older. For people that do have Medicare and need addiction recovery services in Rogers, Medicare can pay for certain rehab programs and treatment services. Medicare consists of different "Parts", with Parts A-D covering certain types of care.
Part A (Insurance for Hospital Stays) - Medicare Part A pays for inpatient substance rehabilitation, and up to 60 days in rehab without a co-pay but policy holders will be required to pay a deductible. Medicare only pays for a total of 190 days of inpatient care, as in during the person's lifetime.
Part B (Medical Insurance) ? Medicare Part B covers up to 80% of the expenses for outpatient drug and alcohol treatment. This includes outpatient services, therapy/counseling, treatment for co-occurring disorders such as anxiety disorders or depression and medications dispensed by clinics. It also covers professional intervention services.
Part C (Medicare-approved Private Insurance) Medicare Part D is an option for individuals who want supplemental health insurance in addition to Medicare Parts A, B, and D. People who have Part C may have more insurance benefits available to them, but out-of-pocket costs and coverage is different and may be more expensive.
Part D (Prescription Insurance) Medicare Part D covers substance abuse related medications. Including medications associated with treating withdrawal symptoms during detoxification and those used for maintenance therapy such as methadone or buprenorphine.
