The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, "SAMHSA" for short, is the government agency responsible for health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the U.S.. One of its responsibilities is the oversight of opioid rehabilitation programs, which are programs which offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients who are experiencing opioid dependency and addiction.
